Thanksgiving

The gravy on the turkey tastes
like steaming cocoa
The sounds of the people saying
"Thank you"
You can see children playing games
and cheering for each other
"Go!" "Go!" "Go!"

And then you think Thanksgiving
is here!


*** I have always loved to do Free Style poems. My favorite line in this poem is, "You can see children playing games/ cheering for each other "Go!" "Go!" "Go!". That is my favorite line because it makes me want to shout "Go!" "Go!" "Go!" ---Bryanna
